How would Brandon Flowers rank some of The Killers<\/a>\u2019 most iconic songs? The answer may surprise you \u2013 check out the frontman\u2019s Blind Ranking video for NME<\/i> below ahead of his upcoming solo UK and Ireland tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n NME<\/i> caught up with Flowers earlier this year to discuss his latest solo album \u2018Thrasher\u2019<\/a>, which released in August. During our time with the vocalist, we got him to rank five songs from The Killers\u2019 discography in order of greatness, without knowing what track could come up next.<\/p>\n The first track up was 2006\u2019s \u2018When You Were Young\u2019, which Flowers said the band are \u201cgrateful for, still\u201d after feeling worried that their second album wouldn\u2019t live up to the success of their debut \u2018Hot Fuss\u2019. \u201cThe way the room looked and the way it felt when \u2018When You Were Young\u2019 started to sizzle, I think we knew we were going to be OK,\u201d he said. We then asked Flowers how\u2019d he rate the track \u2018Human\u2019, a song he worked on in London, while touring for \u2018Sam\u2019s Town\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018The Man\u2019, off 2017\u2019s \u2018Wonderful Wonderful\u2019, was presented to him next, which he said \u201csort of saved \u2018Wonderful Wonderful\u2019\u201d, but would not be number one on his list. Flowers ranked the \u2018Sam\u2019s Town\u2019 classic \u2018Read My Mind\u2019 high, but admitted \u201csecretly, in my heart think \u2018All These Things That I\u2019ve Done\u2019 might be better sometimes.\u201d He closed out his blind-ranking by giving us his verdict on arguably the band\u2019s biggest song, \u2018Mr. Brightside\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a song that is very much associated with the band, you may have heard of it,\u201d he quipped. He then broke down how the song came to be, saying it was written in response to Oasis<\/a>\u2019 \u2018Don\u2019t Look Back In Anger\u2019: \u201cI had seen Oasis a few months before I met Dave Keuning, and I was blown away by the reception that it got at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
