Nicki Minaj<\/a>\u00a0has\u00a0reportedly deactivated\u00a0her Instagram account after a backlash to her\u00a0appearance at the Turning Point USA\u00a0conference.<\/p>\n Last week (December 21),\u00a0the rapper was a surprise guest on the final day of the event in Phoenix<\/a>, appearing in conversation with the\u00a0organisation\u00a0co-founder Erika Kirk, widow of\u00a0the murdered political commentator Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n During her appearance, Minaj\u00a0expressed her \u201crespect and admiration\u201d\u00a0for the \u201chandsome, dashing\u201d\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>, and doubled down on her recent criticisms of California governor Gavin Newsom.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t be\u00a0Newscum,\u201d she said. \u201cYoung men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president, and you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president.\u201d<\/p>\n Kirk went on to ask Minaj about the backlash\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0faced\u00a0for\u00a0her recent comments. \u201cI\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0notice,\u201d she responded. \u201cI\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think about them\u2026\u00a0We\u2019re\u00a0the cool kids.
