Jimmy Kimmel\u00a0delivered a scathing anti-Trump<\/a>\u00a0monologue during his Alternative Christmas Message for\u00a0Channel 4<\/a>\u00a0this week.<\/p>\n The channel has invited high-profile individuals to give a speech\u00a0to the British public\u00a0on Christmas Day every year\u00a0since 1993, with\u00a0previous\u00a0speakers including Edward Snowden, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Ali G and Marge Simpson.<\/p>\n This year, it was US talk show host Kimmel who delivered the message, just three months after\u00a0his show was briefly cancelled<\/a> after political pressure from Donald Trump. ABC suspended\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/i> after the host accused the MAGA movement of attempting to exploit\u00a0the murder of Charlie Kirk<\/a>, with\u00a0Trump celebrating the news<\/a>, but\u00a0the show was reinstated after just six days<\/a>\u00a0after\u00a0an outcry from the entertainment industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kimmel used the platform to reflect on a tumultuous year in American politics, saying that \u201cfrom a fascism perspective, this has been a really great year\u201d,\u00a0adding that \u201ctyranny is booming\u201d in the US.<\/p>\n\n Addressing the differences between the US and UK, he directly addressed the controversy from September, saying Trump wanted to\u00a0\u201cshut me up\u201d because \u201cI\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0adore him in the way he likes to be adored\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThe American government made a threat against me and the company I work for, and all of a sudden we were off the air,\u201d he said. \u201cBut then,\u00a0you\u00a0know what happened?
