Jehnny\u00a0Beth<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Tony Visconti<\/a>\u00a0are among the guests that will celebrate the 10th anniversary of David Bowie<\/a>\u2019s death at the British Library next month.<\/p>\n The music icon\u00a0passed away on 10 January 2016 at the age of 69<\/a>, and on 17 January, the national library in North London\u00a0will present a series of events that will run throughout the day, titled \u2018David Bowie\u00a0In\u00a0Time\u2019.<\/p>\n The day will be headlined by \u2018Just A Cabaret\u2019,\u00a0an evening of music in the Entrance Hall of the library. It will see Blixa\u00a0Bargeld, a legend of the Berlin music scene, a founding member of\u00a0Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds<\/a> and the frontman of veteran industrial band Einst\u00fcrzende Neubauten, playing songs from his recent EP \u2018Blixa Sings David Bowie\u2019.<\/p>\n Alongside him will be composer and bandleader Nikko\u00a0Weidermann, pianist Daniel Brandt and\u00a0Jehnny\u00a0Beth, soloist and former\u00a0frontwoman\u00a0of\u00a0Savages<\/a>, who will also play a selection of Bowie songs\u00a0in what she has described as her \u201cmost intimate performance of 2026\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/a><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Elsewhere during the day, Tony Visconti, the producer that worked on\u00a0countless classic Bowie records including the entire Berlin trilogy and his final album \u2018Blackstar<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0will also\u00a0be in conversation with Nicholas Pegg, the author of\u00a0The Complete David Bowie<\/i>.<\/p>\n Jehnny\u00a0Beth will also be involved in a discussion about \u2018Blackstar\u2019 with the\u00a0jazz\u00a0saxophonist Donny McCaslin, who led the band on the record, as well as the album art designer Jonathan Barnbrook, who will all be talking to BBC Radio 6 Music\u2019s Mary Anne Hobbs.<\/p>\n There will be other talks involving music journalist Paul Morley and David Bowie Archive curator Harriet Reed, and a screening of the documentary\u00a0David Bowie: Five Years<\/i>.<\/p>\n Tickets for \u2018David Bowie\u00a0In\u00a0Time\u2019 are available now and you can find yours\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2020,\u00a0Beth told\u00a0NME\u00a0<\/i>about how her debut solo album \u2018To Love Is To Live\u2019 was heavily influenced by Bowie<\/a>\u00a0and the shock of his death.\u00a0\u201cThat night I was in L.A., I opened my phone at 3am, saw that [Bowie] was dead and couldn\u2019t\u00a0sleep\u00a0so I listened to his music all night,\u201d\u00a0she\u00a0said. \u201cI was obviously\u00a0really sad, but also very conscious of the fact that death is part of life.
