Peter Gabriel<\/a> has personally thanked director Josh Safdie for including his song \u2018I Have The Touch\u2019 in the new film\u00a0Marty Supreme<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n Safdie\u2019s movie is released into UK cinemas on Boxing Day and stars\u00a0Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>\u00a0as the American table tennis prodigy Marty\u00a0Mauser,\u00a0a character loosely inspired by the real-life ping pong champion Marty Reisman.<\/p>\n The A24 comedy-drama has been widely critically acclaimed and co-stars\u00a0Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a>, Odessa\u00a0A\u2019zion\u00a0and Kevin O\u2019Leary, and it despite its 1950s setting, it includes\u00a0a number of\u00a0anachronistic needle drops, including songs from Tears\u00a0For\u00a0Fears<\/a>, New Order<\/a> and Public Image Ltd<\/a>.<\/p>\n Another song included is \u2018I Have\u00a0The\u00a0Touch\u2019,\u00a0from Gabriel\u2019s fourth solo album in 1982.
